Here’s a Peek Inside Johnsonburg Borough's 1890 National Bank. This old bank building features some nice architectural details, plus 2 vaults. The large vault is on the first floor; some suspect the structure, located at 601 Market Street, may have been built around the large vault.

Today, this Rock-faced, sandstone fortress houses the Borough’s Water Authority. They’re good stewards of the building and have kindly added an artist’s rendering of the bank building, circa 1970, to the Trust’s growing, Heritage-Museum Collection. (Rendering shown below.)
